At previous post, we talked about female Wren which visited our yard. The fact that the bird was nesting.
You may read the previous posting:
We saw at least two eggs in the nest, the number of eggs laying by Wrens depend on their species:
- Caroline Wren, 3 - 7 eggs
- House Wren, 4 to 8 eggs
The female Wren broods her eggs for 12 to16 days, tenderly guarded, while the male provides nourishment.
Finally, after approximately two weeks, the little babies start learning to fly, then they leave the nest.

What beautiful photos Tanza and what a good sign that little ones were born. The wren actually has a bit of a misleading name too. I had read that In fact, they do not like extreme cold and snow at all. But its not for now realy wintertime so its very good that they were with you and that is a very good sign. Through this way I also want to thank you for all your nice comments on my 2 blog websites. Glad you like what I share there. Greetings, Tine
ReplyDeleteno, Wren don't like cold...... our area is warmer......
