I believe all of us have ever consumed honey, but, some may not love it. However, demand for honey is increasing year by year.
Based on report from United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) in 2020, honey production increase by 2%, make total production to be 157 million pounds.
The states with higher honey productions are following:
- North Dakota
- South Dakota
- California
- Montana
- Florida
- Texas
- Minnesota
- Michigan
- Louisiana

Interestingly, not only honey, but live bees also be traded, locally and internationally.

ReplyDeleteWe are big honey users. We try and use honey from local hives in our cooking, tea and sometimes a good spoonful! We have to keep these little workers going strong!

Local honey is helpful to your allergies too..
ReplyDeleteIt's great to find local honey, and we have a wonder company here that I love everything they can do with honey than just honey..like bug repellant, cosmetics, moisturizer even lippy!

I love honey and it is a healthier alternative to sugar so I use honey in my cooking. TQ for the interesting post and the countries exporting it. Manuka honey is good but a bit expensive so I use Australian honey. Lovely roses.

ReplyDeleteWe have a pest that is attacking our bees, they are Asian bees or wasps, a sting of this bee can kill a person, I had a nest of these bees in my garden and I had to call the civil protection to come and kill these bees, have you heard of this in the united states ?!
