People
have many reasons
to live or move in the cities. For some Americans, the considerations
could be:
-
total population
-
population growth, include migration
-
cost of living
-
housing values
-
household income.
The
most decision
factor is
“living cost.” Then, What is the Meaning of Cheaper Cities in the
USA?
Cheaper
cities mean that the average cost of living in those cities is below
national averages.
It
is estimated that average cost of living in the USA is US$ 11,000 per
person per year. Family of 4 could reach US$ 44,000 per year.
Sebring
city, Florida
In
term of cheaper place, these 10 cities are below average of national
living cost:
-
Gainesville, Georgia
-
Spartanburg, South Carolina
-
Greenville-Anderson-Mauldin,
South Carolina
-
Huntsville, Alabama,
-
Bowling Green, Kentucky
-
Burlington, North Carolina
-
Salisbury, MD-DE
-
Sebring, Florida
-
Auburn-Opelika, Alabama
-
Homosassa Springs, Florida
Above
10 cities are favorite places to live in America currently. Two of
them in Florida quite surprise me, because I thought Florida was
expensive state due to its famous for tourist destination.
However,
they are not big cities like Los Angeles or New York.
I
live in the current community due to its moderate in terms of
population (250,000 people), cost of living (lower than national
average), good public facilities and good education system.

I am SO glad that my town is not on this list, because part of the reason we live here is to be in a nature-rich location with FEW people! Enjoy your weekend, and thanks for your recent visit to my blog!

We moved here 15 years ago to get away from the hectic life style and cheaper taxes. It seems like everyone is following us so we may need to move again for some peace and quiet!

Always an interesting question! It's not surprising all 10 cities on your list are in the southeast. Even eastern Maryland counts. Cost of living vs. quality of life is the balance we all must consider.
ReplyDeleteWe moved to Vermont because it's pretty and it's progressive politically. Cost of living is actually on the high end for northern New England but I think we made the right choice. For our current town, the house was right. We like being in the countryside. Schools in our area are also excellent.
Just had a long conversation with my daughter this week about choosing a place to live. She's just a couple years away from making her own first choice on that path! It's exciting, but also an intimidating decision for someone who doesn't like making choices.
I see...hope, your daughter has the right decision...
Deletegood luck for her.

Main reason for living in my city is that I am born here. And the costs of living are relatively low here compared to the rest of Germany.

I live here because of work/employment. I have lived in small cities (and towns) all over the US and find that there is a lot to enjoy about a small town.
